Being in
Love

„In real love, there is no
relationship. What is the mechanism for love to become a relationship? The
moment when you say to your loved one “Love only me!” you have started
possessing it. And, at the moment when you start possessing it, you have deeply
offended them, as you have turned him/her into a thing… We must remain
individuals and exist as independent and free consciousnesses. We may go
together, we may melt in each other, but no one should possess the other. Then
there is no relationship…”
In the coming week, an inharmonious
aspect (a square) will occur between the planet of love, Venus in Cancer, and
the planet which is related to freedom and to higher states of mind – Uranus in
Aries. It is difficult for most people to deal with this aspect, as it brings
about sudden and unexpected turns in love life and a lot of love-related
stress. This aspect is asking us not to get emotionally attached, because, as
soon as this is done, something unexpected and unpleasant will happen to us.
With this aspect, it is almost impossible to keep stability, as everything that
should have a structure of a loving relationship between two persons simply breaks
apart, because Uranus cannot love only one person, but it needs to share love
with everybody, as it is cosmopolitan and loves the whole world… Only those who
manage to overcome jealousy and selfishness with this aspect may be happy. Of
course, this requires a lot of inner work on oneself…
If we look back at the
very myth, Venus was created from the Uranus’ genitals, after which she ended
up in the sea with the god Poseidon (Neptune), thus, at the core of it – love
is freedom and, above all, it is a ‘secret’…
Uranus at 15º Aries
It is precisely Osho, an
Indian mystic, guru and spiritual teacher – who had in his chart a square
between Venus and Uranus. And then, in 1931, when Osho was born, Uranus was in
Aries, just as it is now. Osho really was a pioneer of his time, as he
advocated for freedom, creativity, humor, courage, for very free and radical
approaches to love, sexuality (he was nicknamed the “sex guru”), he denied
marriage, tradition, religion…
If we take into account
the fact that his Uranus (freedom, a higher state of consciousness) was in his
natural field, the field of freedom (the 11th house), as the ruler
of his 9th (purpose) and at a royal degree, 15°
Aries, it is precisely here where we may suspect that the purpose of this man
was – to set himself free… Uranus is precisely the apex of a cardinal T-square
in Osho’s chart and it ‘colors’ completely the character and work of this
Indian mystic.
Venus,
the planet of love, is in his chart at a degree for which we say – “secret” (12°),
it is precisely the ruler of the 5th house (love), but also of the
12th house (inner need, personal myth) and it is in the 8th
house (deep transformation), in Capricorn (the ancient, the past). Osho was in
favor of destruction (…square Uranus) of some socially set norms about love
(Venus in Capricorn – love that has a form, i.e. marriage) and he had a very
strong inner need to, above all, transform himself in the area of relations,
love (Venus in 8), therefore transforming his followers and his students (the 5th
house also describes Osho’s students that he has had around the world, while
Venus is the ruler of his 5th, thus, in addition to love, describing
his students). Venus is in conjunction with the Moon in which Pluto from Cancer
‘lives’, which is also a part of a cardinal T-square here, thus the emotional
(the Moon/Venus conjunction), deep transformation (the 8th house) is
something which Osho has been through himself, which, in the end, brought him
liberation (… a square with Uranus in 11).
As
a young child, Osho loved freedom very much, and he emphasized that a
significant person, who has affected his spiritual growth, has been his grandmother,
whom he had lived with. “My grandmother gave me freedom, she did not put
limitations on me…”. The Moon – Saturn (an older woman – grandmother) is in
Osho’s 8th house, the house of transformation, forming a strong,
exact square with Uranus in 11, which is a picture of the grandmother, who has
affected his emotional transformation and liberation, and who was, somehow,
different for her time. As neither Osho (nor his grandmother) paid any
attention to religion and he emphasized that the only religion is love and that love is freedom, it is no wonder
that Osho has the Moon (which ‘passed over’ Venus – love) at the degree of
Jupiter’s fall (religion), at 15° Capricorn, in a square with Uranus (freedom)
in 11 (freedom).
Of
course, the position of emotional planets, the Moon (who “carries” Pluto from
Cancer within) and Venus in 8 (death), in a square with Uranus is the picture
of fears from death that Osho must have had, thus precisely the two deaths
affected this mystic quite a lot. The death of his grandfather and one of his
cousins had put a burden on Osho and he have experienced fears, until
everything changed (the 8th house) and he set himself free (… a
square with Uranus in 11).
During
his education, Osho had quite a lot of conflicts with his teachers, professors,
simply speaking he was a “wild spirit” – the ruler of Asc, Mercury, being at
the cusp of 8 (transformation) and going towards the square with Uranus in 11 –
which is a picture of a rebel, a reformer, an “eccentric”. Even through
disposition (Saturn in Capricorn), he remained in a square with Uranus, namely,
he had a very strong inner need (square) to take the old (Capricorn) and
replace it with new (Uranus in Aries). Having in mind that he has come from the
country in the symbolism of Capricorn, Saturn – India, it was much easier for
Osho to set his advanced ideas about love and sexuality in the United States,
in the country which is related to the planet Uranus, where he still has a huge
number of followers, as well as his organization, which has been dealing with
publication of his works after his death…
The First Spiritual
Enlightenment - 3º Aquarius
Osho claimed to have had
his first spiritual enlightenment at the age of 21, more precisely on 21st
March 1953, while he sat underneath a tree in the garden in Jabalpur, India. He
referred to this as his first mystical experience.
In the solar chart for
that day, we can see the Sun precisely at 0° Aries, which is a picture of
something new, as this is a degree from which the journey through the Zodiac
starts. The Sun in the chart of Osho rules his 3 house, starting at 3° Leo,
thus on that day, the position of the Sun at 0° Aries certainly gives a picture
of a new, pioneering mind/intellect. However, what is particularly interesting
is the position of the Moon (the Soul) almost at the very Asc of Osho and it is
in sextile with Uranus (freedom) in 11 (liberation) in the chart of this
spiritual guide.
Further, if we look at
the directions of Osho (in which everything is moved by around 1° for 1 year),
we seen then that Venus in the directions (love), at that moment, was at 3°
Aquarius, at the cusp of Osho’s 9 (purpose), which is the picture of love
as his purpose.
He precisely talks (3°) about love, sexuality at one completely different
manner, quite freely (Aquarius), moving the limits…
The First Group of
Followers – 15º Aquarius
On 26th
September 1970, Osho gathered his first group of followers. It is interesting
that in the directions of Osho, he had then a directive Mercury (studying,
students) at 15° Aquarius, in an exact sextile with natal Uranus (liberation)
in 11 (freedom) of Aries (the New Age – Osho and his followers are linked to
the New Age)! We should remember now transit Moon from the solar chart on the
date of his first spiritual enlightenment. The Moon was at 14° Gemini 37’
(almost at 15°), thus Uranus at 15° Aries in the chart of Osho is of a real
significance. As this is actually a very strong lotus constellation, we can see
how special everything that Osho and his followers have done and have been
doing since his death…
“Being In Love“ - 15º Aries
All Osho’s statements
had been noted by his followers and students, who published them after his
death. The book “Being In Love” was published on 15th January 2008,
in New York. Precisely on that day, secondary Venus (love) of Osho came at 15°
Aries to the natal Uranus (freedom) in 11 (liberation) of this spiritual guide.
As Uranus is the central plant of a cardinal T-square in Osho’s chart, as I
have said at the beginning – something the most significant in his chart, then
precisely the publication of the book “Being In Love” marked that the right
time has come to speak about love as freedom, and not relationship or
dependence on somebody…
It is also interesting
that today, after so many years, we have Uranus in Aries, and the other two
planets from this cardinal T-square from Osho’s chart have only changed their
positions – Venus is in Cancer (where Pluto was in Osho’s chart) and Pluto is
in Capricorn (where Venus was in Osho’s chart).
We should be reading
Osho, precisely now at the times when the sky brings a square between Venus and
Uranus, as his words may contribute quite a lot to a deep transformation and
bring different views about love. Love truly is freedom and not an expectation,
and it is only when we start to live this approach, instead of only talking
about it, that we will become happy…
