New Moon at 19° Capricorn - the end, but also the new beginning… (January 10, 2016)

The first lunation in 2016 is coming. It is the new moon, that always carries the depiction of the new personal beginning. But, the position of the Ascendant for this moment is interesting - it is the degree implying the ending - 29° Libra. But, 29° also contains the symbolism of going to the next degree, 0° Scorpio, which represents the end of one period (29°) in the field of relations (Libra) and the beginning (0°) of deep changes and transformation (Scorpio).

Let us look at what Sabian symbols tell us for 29° Libra - "Three mounds of knowledge on a philosopher's head" (M.E. Jones~1) - predictions… The degree across from this one tells of th result (29° Aries) - "A duck pond and its brood" (M.E. Jones~1) - reliability…

If we now take a look at antiscia (the mirror) of this lunation, than Ascendant is at 0° Pisces! The result is right across, at 0° Virgo! Sabian symbols for those two degrees are the following: "In a crowded marketplace farmers and middlemen display a great variety of products" (M.E. It seems the time came to follow our intuition (29°) for it would lead us to peace we all crave… After that, it is necessary for us to engage in relations…

The lunation itself (New moon - new beginning) happens at 19° Capricorn, it "crossed" the Pluto (deep change and releasing the old - Capricorn) and it shall influence the following signs: Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn (± 3° around 19° of the mentioned signs). Also, the signs that would be "inserted" into the aspect of Yod through 19° Capricorn will be called out - Gemini and Leo (± 3° around 19° Gemini or Leo).

The mirror of the new moon clearly carries the "hidden message" that there is the new beginning in front of us, new chance, and it should be used. Forget about the past and go into the future… Left side is always the heart side, so it is clearly about the heart, i.e. emotions…

I have to add that this lunation will also affect all those who have something around 10°± 3° Sagittarius, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Virgo and Pisces in their charts.

The position of Mercury in the moment of lunation is also interesting - it is at 29° (again the symbolism of the end, but also of the returning to something old, since the Mercury is retrograde) Capricorn. Sabian symbol for this degree is: "A secret meeting of men responsible for executive decisions in world affairs" (M.E. Jones~1). The result is in the degree across, 29° Cancer: "Lady of the aristocratic background proudly addresses the club she is the member of" (D. Rudhyar ~1).

Antiscia of this retrograde Mercury is at 0° Sagittarius, and Sabian symbol for this degree is: "Retired army veterans gather to reawaken old memories" (M.E. Jones~1) - gathering again, reminiscing… The result is in the degree across, at 0° Gemini: "A glass-bottomed boat reveals undersea wonders." (D. Rudhyar~1) - new dimension of reality…

At the end, I would say that we shall still have a chance to talk to (Mercury) somebody from the past, to find out some secret and for things to become clearer… Finally, the lunation itself happens in the sign of Capricorn who always brings back to the old, to the past… Since across from Capricorn is Cancer, carrying memories and emotion that is never ours, but represents the memory of our ancestor in us, than this is excellent opportunity to release somebody in ourselves and by doing so liberate us as well, and make a step forward in spiritual sense, i.e. rise…
