When it happens that Ascendant is in the same sign as the cusp of the 12^th house (past life), than it is quite certain that in this life we will continue where we have once stopped… If, at the same time, happens that the same planet (who is the ruler of both Ascendant and 12^th) is the ruler of the 5^th house (the house which is important from the point of view of past lives), then it is more than certain that precisely this planet should be focused on when interpreting the person’s natal chart. In this, if this planed is also the planet to form a square with the nodes’ axis – then we can say that this plant is the point of a problem in putting together of opposite powers in one person. When the planet is materialized, what the nodes are not, it takes over all the energy of the two opposing powers onto itself and thus presents the point of a problem. How will the problem be resolved will be seen from the dispositor of the given planet… 

Venus in a square with the nodes’ axis 

Namely, it is well known that the true partnership lies in the nodes’ axis, which is more primary than the one presented with the Ascendant-Descendant axis, and that in the search for a true partner, one should always look whether there is a plant making aspects with the nodes’ axis… Recently, while in my article “Jelena, a womanwho is not here” I have written about the planet (Venus) which is making harmonic aspects with the nodes’ axis, this time I will write about the planet which is making an unfavorable (a square) aspect towards the nodes’ axis. This time, I will also write about Venus, but about the Venus of a renowned Brazilian writer Paolo Coelho, as his Venus is the ruler of his Ascendant, the ruler of his 12^th house and the ruler of his 5^th house!!! Obviously, this is related to love, which is something rather important to this man, something that he should be working on in this life, as it is precisely here that we see debts through partnership relations, a huge possibility for a person to suffer due to inability to get from partners what the person expects, and all this is because the person was a rather indecisive one in the previous life, i.e. the person was unable to decide with which partner the person wanted to be with, thus the person was with both, which finally lead to dissatisfaction of both sides. This is why it is necessary for the person in this life to be dedicated to the partner and to give, unconditionally, to love in a deeper and more committed manner, to “dive deeper” in the field of relations, as a solution of the opposites is hidden precisely in this depth… We know that Venus is naturally exalted in the sign of Pisces, in the 12^th house, thus the true magic of love is found only in unconditional commitment to love, which is the true becoming of one with the partner…

If now, when we look at the natal chart of Coelho, we look at the cusp of 12 (past life) at the very degree of the Moon’s exaltation (3° Taurus), this implies that the emotions were something that exalted this person in the past life as well. Ascendant is at the very end of the sign of Taurus (28° Taurus 07’), while the nodes’ axis goes over the Ascendant-Descendant axis, which strongly implies on the significance of relations during the present life. Venus is the ruler of both 12^th and 1^st, but also of 5^th (love in this life, but this also signifies a house necessary from the point of view of past life), whose cusp is in Libra (relations) in which there is Neptune (faith, magic, “diving deep” in the field of love…). Venus was at 27° Leo 15’ which (at the time of his birth) was a rather close conjunction with the royal star Regulus that brings fame and success in life. However, this Venus is intercepted, thus things do not come easily; here one needs to wait in silence… especially when it comes to writing, having in mind that this Venus is in the 3^rd house (the mind, the intellect, everything that we write…), but also the person needs to wait here for love, and “dive deeper”, the person has to have indefinite belief (Neptune – belief is in the fall in Leo, while Saturn – patience is in the exile in Leo)… Venus also has a strong conjunction with Mercury (the ruler of the 5^th from the 12^th – past life’s love) which is also forming a square with the nodes’ axis, thus it is more than certain that Coelho, in his past life, had made some moves “half a way”, i.e. he had made a wrong decision, which is why he is still at unrest even today, making the disagreement between partners live on… And, in this life, he should listen more to his intuition and less his logic…

The “magical” woman

Before Coelho became a writer, he had a very dynamic life. The spirit of rebellion has marked his youth. When he was 16, his parents put him in a mental institution because of his sudden mood changes (he was mainly silent, having occasional sudden outbursts of anger and hysteria). He was a hippie, journalist, he used hashish, he wrote songs for some famous Brazilian pop stars… Ever since he was 25, he has studied magic and occultism (the 3/9 axis is the axis of knowledge, studying, insights, our Future I) and it goes through 29° Cancer/29° Capricorn, which is the picture of the mind’s need to “see beyond” and become familiar with a “secret” (it is well known that 29° Cancer is the place where two lights come together and this is the place that is called the Third Eye, whereas 29° Capricorn is related to masonry and secret knowledge)… However, as this is 29°, he had to wait for some higher “cosmic revelations”… having in mind that they come to him with the help of a woman, who will make his evolutionary path easier with her Heaven (her chart)… and initiate the 29° Cancer/29° Capricorn axis…

His Venus, through the dispositor (the Sun) comes at 0° Virgo, which is the picture of loneliness, but also of a new beginning (0° is always a picture of a beginning). As the sign of Virgo is also the sign of serving to God, this precisely shows that this man can, throughout his life, get an opportunity to, somehow, start from scratch in the field of service to God, and to heal so deeply (the Sun has a sextile with Chiron, which is at 4°Scorpio, which is almost at the degree of Pluto’s exaltation - 3° Scorpio). Namely, precisely 6 years after a significant woman comes into his life, the one who has been with him ever since, in 1986, he started a journey at which he would reunite with God, at which he would return to the Catholic faith, the faith of his childhood… He walked a 830 km long journey, as a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela in Spain, which has significantly changed the further course of his life…

Until he was 33, this man managed to get married, as well as divorced, three times. He got into relationships easily, was getting married even faster (the need of Taurus Ascendant), as all this is his internal need (the cusp of 12 – past life, at the degree of the Moon’s exaltation – closeness, family). If we look at the very cusp of 7^th house, which primarily speaks about marriage, than we see that it is at 28° Scorpio 07’ and that the ruler Mars is weakened by the position in the sign of its fall, in Cancer, and that it is also in a square with Neptune, thus the initial enthusiasm soon becomes disappointment, as it is hard for it to materialize a story in the area of relations, due to the lack of faith and personal silence, thus it grows tired, lacks energy, which is only because it is not silent enough… The very Moon in 7^th can point out towards changeability, while the sign of Sagittarius quite certainly may point out towards several wives (Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius, quite often shows abundance…).

However, only his fourth wife, a well known painter, who communicates with her angels (Neptune) while painting, Christina Oiticica, brings to him a solution to his problems and helps him become the person who can “dive deeply”. 

The relationship with her heals him, returns him to his faith and, most importantly, fulfills his great dream – makes him a writer! They met on Christmas 1979, the following July 1980 made a Lutheran religious ceremony. He started his spiritual journey in 1986, as explained in the text above…

If we look at directions (where everything moves about 1° in 1 year), then we see that the Venus in the directions was positioned at 29° Virgo (July 1980), which wakes Coelho’s 3/9 axis, thus entering of this woman into his life has definitely “opened” him up for special (29°) insights…

On the other side, in Christina’s chart, Mars is at 29° Virgo, which carries Jupiter (knowledge) within from Aries, and the very 29° Virgo in known in astrology as a very specific place in the Zodiac, the place that can give “clairvoyance” to the owner. This is the place of a very intense intuition and, in any case, a “silent synthesis” of a sign that has got the ultimate knowledge and is finally able to produce a writer! However, as Christina is his fourth wife, we see her through his Venus, as precisely his 1^st house, i.e. his Ascendant presents his fourth marriage (in addition to being Coelho himself, as well as his inner need, the past life – as the ruler of 12^th), but also through the symbolism of Venus (a painter, an artist)…

It is interesting to see, in the directions, the very Ascendant at 0° Cancer, which, of course, implies a new beginning with a woman, though, even more, Chiron (healing) in the directions at 6° Sagittarius 42’ is at the very Moon (Soul, woman) in 7^th (relations) of Coelho, thus all these are signs that with this woman he is to reach an opportunity to heal… However, the most significant thing here is that he had to start the journey from 0° Virgo to reach to 29° Virgo, so as to finally and with ease open up the door for a “secret”, magic, and everything that he has written about in his novels after his pilgrimage. He actually only became a writer after that journey, he published his first novels then to become, now, one of the most famous and read writers in the world… He started living his dream only after that journey…

The first Saturn’s return of Coelho – October 1976

The first Saturn’s return of Coelho, which happens when he was 29, shows us the significance of 29° Virgo, which gets activated with coming of Christine into his life. In his natal chart, Saturn is the ruler of 9^th (the purpose, the Future I), whose cusp is at a very special 29° Capricorn, which is why the very return of this plant to itself carries along a rather significant message. 

Precisely in 1980, when Christine came into his life, Coelho lived through Saturn’s return, through the 2^nd house of his chart, (when he is almost 33), whose cusp is in Virgo and the very Mercury (writing) is positioned precisely at a “magical” 29° Virgo!!! The Moon in this chart is exalted and it will make a trine with this same Mercury, thus this is a picture of a woman who connects him with special insights…

Butterfly (Neptune) instead of rings...

 

Christina and Coelho have been together for 34 years now and they have recently made their long-lasting relationship official, they got married precisely on her birthday, 23^rd November 2013. However, as the Venus in the chart of Coelho is in a sextile with Uranus, precisely as their living together has been all these years was rather interesting and different, thus the very wedding ceremony was different. Instead of exchanging rings, they used a tattoo of a small butterfly as a symbol of their partnership, which they both tattooed onto their left forearms.

“I loved all my wives, of course, but Christine is the one who is responsible for my good and great changes in life. When I looked at her, I knew that this was it.. She returned my faith… She taught me to be quiet, to believe, she ‘led’ me to the ‘secret’… We will continue doing what we have done all these years, I will be walking with my ‘new wife’ down the forest of the Alps…”, says Coelho…

 “To me, this is my first marriage. I have great admiration for him, his courage, determination, intelligence and consistency… He is rather romantic, just as I am. Even when we are separated, when we are in different countries, we are always together, we speak on the telephone for hours…” says Christine smilingly…

Zahir, in Arabic, means visible, present, incapable of going unnoticed. It is someone or something which, once we have come into contact with them or it, gradually occupies our every thought, until we can think of nothing else. Zahir is something (or someone) that begins with a hint and turns into something we constantly think about. This is something that, once touched or seen, we never forget. Our thoughts remain occupied by it, until it drives us to “madness” (Neptune)…
