Turkey and 0º Libra

The zero degree of cardinal signs (Aries - spring, East, Cancer – summer, North, Libra - autumn,  West and Capricorn - winter, South) is very abrupt nature, just like the beginning of each season ... Here  things abruptly start, but as suddenly comes to a breakup of action. As each 0º cardinal signs is in semisquare (45º) with the so-called. "Avatar degees", 15º fixed signs (Taurus 15º, 15º Leo,  15º Scorpio, 15º Aquarius), we can conclude that the position of a country on one of the 0º  cardinal signs brings a lot of instability. At the same time, each 0º cardinal sign leaves behind 29º of variable sign (29º Aries,  29º Gemini, 29º Virgo,  29º Sagittaurus). The last degree (29º) often point to some form of end (29º - end) while the variable signs indicate that this stuff was not stable enough, and that change is possible ...

In this article I want to talk about the country which is located at the crossroads of Europe (West) and Asia (East), about the country of great geostrategic importance, about  the country that is traditionally associated with the sign of Virgo, which (from the perspective of degrees) within the Zodiac " vibrates"at the turn of 29º Virgo to 0º Libra - about Turkey! If we look at Zodiac from  the perspective of East-West, North-South, then we should certainly say that at 0º Libra begins the West, just as it is across, at 0º Aries - East, and that on the 29º Virgo we can have a picture of  crossing to the West.

"Father of Turkey"

 The forerunner of the modern, present Turkey, was the Ottoman Empire which was born after the  World War I. Turkish War of Independence (1919-1922) was leaded by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, and as the result was a rise of the modern Republic of Turkey on October 29th 1923, with Atatürk as its first president. It was a new, democratic, secular republic, oriented towards the West, which is demoralized Turkish people regain faith in a better tomorrow. This man has brought the country to a major reforms. His vision and charizma inspire Turkey today. And today we can use his natal (the forecasting technique) and thus get messages from the Universe.

 If we look at the Solar Arc direction of  this man for the moment when the Republic of Turkey was established, then we find the position of the Moon on 29º 00 ' Virgo, and MC at 0 ° Libra 09'!

His last Moon conjunction (memory that soul carries from the past life)  is with Pluto (unconscious planet) which is on Algol, from the constellation Perseus, and this is the image of a soldier who was fighting somewhere for his "own justice". Dispositor of Pluto is Venus conjuncts Neptune (subconscious planet), in square with Mars (unconscious planet) and is more than obvious that this man in the previous incarnation did not act consciously. However, it is interesting that the first Moon conjunction of this man (it talks about what he's going to in this life),  is exactly Uranus (revolution, reform) which is in a mental Virgo, very close to the degree of exaltation of Mercury  (conscious planet), and which is over dispositor, Mercury in Pisces, in conjunction with the Sun (conscious planet), and Ataturk  now, in this incarnation, had the opportunity to become aware and some past life  patterns would not repeat ...

Horoscope of the Republic of Turkey

The Republic of Turkey has in its horoscope Ascendant (the capital city, the situation in the country) on  7º Cancer 47’, while the ruler of this horoscope, Moon,  is positioned precisely on 29º variable sign of Gemini! How is a series of historical Uranus-Pluto square started in June 2012 with 8º cardinal signs, it is certain that Turkey has entered into some kind of radical change. It was preceded by the famous "Millennium lunar eclipse" on 21st December 2010 (which is officially the beginning of 2011, the winter solstice), just on 29º Gemini (what activated the Moon-people, from the chart of Turkey), when our planet was aligned with the galactic equator. It was definitely an unusual alignment, because not only the Sun,  even the Moon and Earth were aligned, but it was across of the Center of the Galaxy.

If we again turn to the karmic astrology then we can find, that on 29º Gemini in Draconic chart (lunar horoscope talking about memories of our Soul), Ataturk, founder of modern Turkey,  has the Sun.  This man, quite obviously, has some kind of  memory here ...,  and the position of the South Node is on 29º Virgo! Also, Dwadasamsa chart (horoscope of past life) confirms the importance of this man for Turkey. Specifically, all houses are on 29º (characteristic of Dwadasamsa chart that all houses are always at the same degree), provided, however, that the top of 8th house (wars, suffering, death ...) is just on  29º Virgo!

  A year later, on 21st December 2011 (when  2012 officially began), one of the royal stars, Regulus, came to 0º Virgo, the Sun was (as every year, on 21st December) across the Moon of Turkey, therefore, on 29º Sagittarius, and in June 2012 (as I have already pointed out) the first Uranus Pluto square-started a series of these historical squares that will have their epilogue on March 17th, 2015. Shortly after the last, seventh Uranus-Pluto square,on  March 20th, 2015, there will be a Solar Eclipse on 29º Pisces (the last degree of variable sign) that will activate (by square)  the Moon from horoscope of Turkey, and (by opposition) crossing from  29º Virgo to 0º  Libra, passing within the Zodiac to the degree where Turkey as a country is "sensitive".

Let us now see the secondary progressions of Turkey for the first day of Uranus-Pluto square  (over 8º Aries / 8º Capricorne) that activated the Ascendant of this country, on June 24th, 2012. We  find  a secondary position of the Moon (ruler of the natal Ascendant and essential significator for the people in a horoscope of the country) on 28º Virgo 55 '(which is really in close conjunction to 29º Virgo), while the Solar Arc Moon was positioned just on  29º 49' Virgo! At this point, the Solar Arc of 1/7 axis was on 7º Libra / Aries 41 'in almost exact square to 1/7 axis in natal horoscope of Turkey (7º Cancer / Capricorn 47'), which really emphasizes the opening of a very turbulent period for this country. Finally, I launched  Mars (a significator essential for conflicts of horoscope of Turkey)  on 7º 24 ' Libra!

Turkey and the European Union

On 21st June 2001, there was a Solar Eclipse (new beginning) at 0° Cancer, which certainly "awakened"  0º Libra (Turkey). In the years ahead, more precisely, on March 14th 2003, Prime Minister of Turkey became a man who in his horoscope has a midpoint of the Mars (war, conflict, unrest) and Uranus (revolution, changes) on 29º Virgo, while his midpoint of the Moon (people) and the North Node (future) and the Mars (war, conflict, unrest) is - on 0 ° Capricorn! Everything here is very "tense" and very sudden and unstable.

Of course, this is a Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a man who was - since August 2014 - the President of Turkey. During his premiership, on October 03rd 2005, Turkey has officially begun negotiations with the European Union for membership with a lot of enthusiasm, but even today, after almost 10 years, Turkey has not moved from the beginning. And recently European Union is justifiably concerned about national legislation changes that Erdogan introduces, like a partial or even complete alcoholm prohibition, calls into question the secularity of the country ... Many EU leaders accuse him of gradual Islamisation of the country and the erosion of human rights and emphasized that Turkey seems "slipping "to  autocracy! On the other hand, Russia and President Putin disagree with  support that the Turkish regime gives to Syrian  separatists ...

It is important to note that Erdogan is the first Turkish President who is elected directly in elections, by the people, not by parliament as it was starting from 1923, which is certainly an important precedent in the history of Turkey.

Solar Arc Ascendant of Turkey for the moment when the negotiations with the EU begun (03rd October 2005) was on 0 ° Libra which is the image of the West! Also interesting is the position of the top of the 3rd house (negotiations, neighbors, decision) of the horoscope of the European Union. It's all on 0º Libra! But how is all preceded by a solar eclipse on 0º Cancer (squaring 0º Libra), Turkey could hardly fulfill all the necessary requirements for admission to full membership. The square is always a sign that things can’t be brought to an end,  initiation of action is inevitable, because it is the nature of the square, but things are still here interrupted halfway ...

Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus

Let us now about the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. It is  an internationally unrecognized state that occupies 1/3 of the Mediterranean island of Cyprus. The only country that has officially recognized the state of Northern Cyprus is Turkey. The problem of the status of these territories is a major stumbling block with the European Union, Greece and Cyprus on one side and Turkey on the other side. On this island, the Turkish army has been present since 1974, and on November 15th 1983 the establishment of the republic has happened.

Let us now see the position of the secondary Ascendent of Cyprus for that moment. It is in exact conjunction with the Ascendant of Turkey, while the Solar Arc Venus of Cyprus (natal Venus in the 4th house - the territory) came just on 0 ° Libra (the degree on which Turkey is as country "sensitive"), and all of this was the image of Turkey on the territory of Cyprus!

Taksim

What makes the largest city in Turkey, Istanbul, well known, is certainly famous Taksim. This is a market where traditionally people gather to celebrate Republic Day, New Years Eve, but also the  citizens' protests happens there. At Taksim, there is the national monument Cumhuriyet Anita made in 1928 to celebrate the creation of the Republic of Turkey, Ataturk Cultural Centre and opera. Taksim is the "heart of Istanbul."

Last year, on  28th  May 2013., protests erupted in Istanbul, Taksim appeared in the headline news all around the world. Solar Arc Moon of Turkey has just been positioned on 0 ° Libra!

29 º Pisces

What is ahead of us, as I have already mentioned at the beginning, is the Solar Eclipse on 29º Pisces (March 20th, 2015), which will touch the Moon on 29º Gemini  from Turkey horsocope (by square), and crossing from  29º Virgo to 0º Libra (by opposition), and it remains to see in which direction the further Islamization of Turkey will go... Considering the disfunctional aspects we suspect that it will be a lot of obstacles and rebellion and that all the ideas and goals of the ruling regime in Turkey will not be so easily achieved. The resistance is quite certain.

Conservative (29 º Virgo) and modern Turkey (0º Libra)

We can expect ​​that Turkey will always be a "buferr zone" because it is a story about  0 º  of cardinal sign, in this case 0 ° Libra. This is a place in the Zodiac, which symbolizes the West, but here everything is very unstable. This country, once is suddenly moving to the West, but at also suddenly makes a real step backwards on 29º Virgo, to the degree which is known for some people who can "seeing" something. Isn’t it just 29º Virgo  pictures of  old Turkey, the image of the Ottoman Empire which was known by women who are looking into a cup of coffee?!

So, in the end we can say that crossing from  29º Virgo to 0º Libra it is actually the picture of old conservative Turkey and Turkey's image which tends West. It seems that these two polarities still dominate Turkey and it will  be difficult to fully establish either only conservative country or just a modern state. Remains to be seen ...

And finally, as the subject of my research is mapping the Zodiac, and  that I am on 0º Aquarius mapped Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina (more about this you can read in my article Sarajevo and 0º Aquarius), then it is a clear relationship and connection between Turkey (0 ° Libra) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (0º Aquarius), since a trine (harmonious aspect) is hereby formed.

Ukraine and 15º Pisces

Although primarily considered a beneficial planet, Jupiter can easily be a maleficent planet if its dignity is ‘weak’ in the natal chart. Anyhow, Jupiter represents expansion, and that expansion can sometimes be positive, but also quite negative. Since my research is focused on mapping countries inside the 360 Zodiac degrees, I’ll focus on Ukraine in this article, a country which can be mapped in the sign under Jupiter’s rule, the sign of Pisces, precisely on the central, ‘royal’ 15º Pisces! This degree has proven to be significant through verious important events for this country. Finally, the chart of New Ukraine (August 24th, 1991., 6:36PM, Kiev) has the Ascendant on 21º Aquarius, the degree of Neptune’s exaltation (the second, modern ruler of Pisces).

The Chernobyl disaster

If we take a look back on April 26th, 1986. (01:23:44 AM, Moscow), remembered by the nuclear disaster in Chernobyl, we can find Jupiter on 14º 23’ Pisces (very close to 15º Pisces, the degree we link to Ukraine). At the first glance, we see a great Jupiter, in dignity, located on the royal, central degree. But, what did that Jupiter bring to Ukraine (15º Pisces) on April 26th, 1986.? A disaster of an unimaginable scale, affecting the human population... Expansion happened, but in a negative sense...

Yod configuration in the chart of First Ukraine 

Now, let’s take a look at the chart of 1918 Ukraine and estimate Jupiter’s dignity. We find it conjuct Ascendant. but in detriment (Gemini). It’s the ruler of 8th house (danger) carrying the energy of Chiron (wound) on 26º Pisces. Retrograde Mercury as its despositor takes it to 7º Capricorn (Jupiter falls in Capricorn) in a close conjuction with the star nebula Facies which can symbolize danger, and energy that can’t be tamed, in 8th house (death), and it’s practically the focal point of a Yod configuration with the Moon (the people, masses) on 6º Gemini, and Neptune (the second dispositor of Chiron – wound) in detriment on 5º Leo and ‘weakened’ Saturn (also a malefic, and a traditional ruler of 1st house, but also 8th house of death) on 11º Leo. It’s known that Yod configurations point to possible danger, death, and every Yod configuration is a potential Chiron (wound, pain)... Also, there’s an opposition with retrograde Pluto (death, danger) on 3º Cancer, creating a Boomerang configuration. These are all signifiers of a weak Jupiter in the chart of First Ukraine.

On the other hand, of course the Jupiter transiting 15º Pisces wasn’t enough to give an accurate prediction of an unfortunate event for Ukraine. Transiting planets are only triggers for other signifiers...

Now, let’s take a look at Solar Arc directions on April 26th, 1986. We can find Mercury (ruler of the Ascendant of First Ukraine, dispositor of the Moon (the people), ruler of 8th house – danger) on 15º Pisces! Also, we can’t ignore the position of the Moon (the people) on 15º Leo, in an inconjuction with 15º Pisces, a degree I linked to Ukraine.

Since the explosion happened on the fourth reactor of  the nuclear power plant ‘Lenin’, it’s interesting to take a look at the tertiary progressions of Vladimir Lenin for that moment, because he’s the ‘elongated hand’ of the nation, being the first leader of USSR, and we can use his chart to follow events that will happen even after his death. In this case, this man is very important because the power plant was named after him, and a name is always charged with energy... As we can see, tertiary Ascendant of Lenin was exactly on 15º Pisces on April 28th, 1986.

By the way, midpoint of Jupiter (ruler of 8th house of danger) and the North Node (the future) in the chart of First Ukraine is on 15º Pisces, so this degree is a very sensitive place inside the Zodiac for Ukraine, and this disaster left long lasting consequences...
Therefore, transiting Jupiter was just a trigger for the event.

New Ukraine 1991

Ukraine is an ex member of the USSR. It reclaimed its independence on August 24th, 1991. At that moment, Solar Arc directions of Bolshevik Russia pinpointed Venus exactly on 15º Pisces! Venus in the chart of Bolshevik Russia is the ruler of 7th house (diplomatic relations) and 10th house (state reputation).

The Orange Revolution 2004.

The Orange Revolution is the name for a series of protests and political events that occured in Ukraine in late 2004. and 2005.  immediately after the second round of presidential elections which were won by the prime minister Viktor Yanukovych. His challenger Viktor Yushcenko (together with Yulia Tymoshenko) challenged the results, claiming that they were the result of a fraud, and his followers started a series of demonstrations in Kiev. His requests were accepted by the Supreme Court of Ukraine, repeating the elections which were then won by Yushcenko.

If we take a look at Yushcenko’s chart, we’ll find retrograde (repeating) Mercury (voting) on 15º Pisces in 3rd house (votes) from 10th house (him as a president)!

Since Ukraine is the ex member of USSR, secondary progressions of Bolshevik Russia for the moment of the beginning of the Orange Revolution are also interesting, because the Ascendant was on 15º Pisces as well.

Tertiary progressions make the prediction more precise, due to the fact that the tertiary Moon moves 1 degree in 2 days, so it’s interesting to check the position of the tertiary Moon (the people) of Bolshevik Russia in the moment when the Orange Revolution began. We’ll find it positioned near 15º Pisces!

Lunar eclipse on 15º Pisces 2006

Now let’s take a look back at September 7th, 2006., when a lunar eclipse (full Moon close to the node axis) happened on 15º Pisces (Ukraine). An eclipse holds importance to the individual, but also to the state as a collective. At that time, the Moon (the people) was on 15º Pisces, and the Sun (ruler) on 15º Virgo. Interestingly enough, the Sun in the Solar Arc progressions of New Ukraine was also on 15º Virgo, so we can be certain that this eclipse did ‘touch’ Ukraine.

The opposition between the Moon and the Sun can be an image of a conflict between the people and the ruling figure, but also a conflict between a man and a woman. Only a month before this eclipse, on August 4th, 2006. Viktor Yanukovych became the prime minister of Ukraine, but his mandate ended very quickly – on December 18th. 2007. when the function was given to Yulia Tymoshenko.

By the way, the lunar eclipse on September 7th was the first of 4 lunar eclipses of the Metonic cycle which happen on the same date, September 7th, 19 years between each one. That means that the second Metonic lunar eclipse, also on 15º Pisces, will happen on September 7th, 2025. The third will happen on September 7th, 2044., and the last, fourth one on September 7th, 2063. It will be interesting to see the effects of these eclipses on Ukraine, the country in the symbolism of 15º Pisces.

Although September 7th, 2025. is far away, let’s take a look at the secondary Moon of New Ukraine on that date. We find it positioned on 21º Taurus, squaring the Ascendant – Descendant axis of Ukraine (21º Aquarius - 21º Leo). The Solar Arc Venus of First Ukraine is also interesting, located exactly on 15º Gemini, squaring 15º Pisces. Since Mars in Libra (Mars in detriment) lives inside First Ukraine’s Venus, this can all be a symbol of a great energy that will be set free by the people...

This will be the period of the trine between Pluto on 1º Aquarius and Uranus on 1º Gemini, and retrograde Saturn on 29º Pisces will be the focal point of a Lotus configuration, connecting the Earth center (Pluto) and the Sky (Uranus).

Crimean status referendum 2014

Something currently attracting the attention of the whole world is the crisis in Ukraine. It’s well known that Crimea was annexed by Russia after the referendum held in March 2014. In the Solar Arc progressions of New Ukraine, the Moon (the people) was on 15º Pisces, while the progressed IC –MC axis of Viktor Yanukovych was on 15º Pisces - 15º Virgo. Viktor Yanukovych was the fourth president of Ukraine, from 2010. to March 2014., when he was removed from the position. Since then, he’s located in Russia, where he was granted political asylum.

 Vladimir Putin, Angela Merkel and Ukraine

Very often in our lives, we take actions led by our subconcious and unconscious selves. Why does Vladimir Putin have the need to be involved in the internal issues of Ukraine?The Moon (the people) in his natal chart is located in the 8th house (danger, wars), as a ruler of 9th house (foreign countries) in an applying opposition with Mars (an essential significator for wars and conflicts) in Saggitarius. The Moon can be considered a subconscious planet, while Mars is an unconscious planet. It’s interesting that the midpoint of Moon in Mars in Putin’s chart is located on 14º 43’ Pisces, very close to 15º Pisces, a degree that represents Ukraine inside the Zodiac. Also, one more fact makes us understand Putin’s involvement with Ukraine a bit more.In his Antiscia chart, we find the Sun (authority) on 16º Pisces, very close to 15º Pisces (Ukraine). As the Antiscia chart is a sort of our mirror, and our shadow, it’s pretty clear why Putin is so involved in the Ukraine crisis.

Anyway, the following is a very positive thing in this picture. In the moment when the Crimea referendum was held in March of 2014. Putin’s progressed Sun (ruling) was on 15º Saggitarius, in a square with 15º Pisces (Ukraine), so this represents his strong inner need to rule over this country, but since a square represents things stopped half-done, this man could very easily give up on this issue in the time ahead of us... Since the Moon of the German chancellor Angela Merkel is on 15º Aquarius, it’s more than obvious that she’ll have a central role in restoring the balance between Russia and Ukraine, because her Moon is making a sextile to the Sun in Putin’s progressed chart, and a semisextile with 15º Pisces (Ukraine)!

The central, 15º  of any sign is very important, so this is also an image of Ukraine as a central country for gas provision. If we remember the well known gass crisis that shook up Europe in January 2009. because of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, it’s clear why the role of Ukraine in providing energy is  - central!

Also, we can see the image of former prime minister of Ukraine, Yulia Tymoshenko, on 15º Pisces, a woman who was sentenced to 7 years in prison on October 11th, 2011. on the charges of position misuse, and released  during the coup in 2014.

Her Ascendant is almost on 29º Libra, and the ruler, Venus, in a separating conjuction with Jupiter in the sign of its fall, is located on 14º Capricorn in a strong conjuction with Saturn on 15º Capricorn (the degree of Jupiter’s fall), in an opposition with Mars on 18º Cancer (Mars’ fall and a very ‘difficult’ degree). All this brought troubles with the law and prison to her.In the moment when she was released from custody, on February 22nd, 2014. her progressed Venus (ruler of her natal Ascendant – her, but also the 12th house – prison) was exactly on 15º Pisces! The sign of Pisces is the sign of prisons, closed institutions, and the 15º is an image of a central figure, like the role of prime minister... Before her political career, Yulia was a successful but controversial woman in the gas (Pisces) industry which brought her riches...

Finally, if we want to estimate the relationship between Russia and Ukraine from the point of degrees which represent these countries inside the Zodiac (Russia on 19º Libra and Ukraine on 15º Pisces) we can tell that they are in an inconjuction (quincunx) with the orb of 4 degrees (emotions) and that this aspect is asking for a lot of inner, emotional adjustment to each other...
