The Weight on Atlas’s Shoulders: Spain, the Migrant Crisis, and the 4° Pisces Fracture

Judging by everything, the lunar eclipse (August 28, 2026, at 4° Pisces 54’) will open “Pandora’s box” for Spain.
When this country became a full member of the EU on January 1, 1986 (midnight, Madrid, Spain), the Moon (the people) was at 4° Virgo 31’, exactly opposite the coming eclipse, and that same Moon was square Saturn at 5° Sagittarius. That was automatically a picture of a people who would suffer inside the EU, who would somehow remain unhappy. Virgo is the sign that fragments; it relates to the ordinary working class, to service industries, to a people who serve, to a people who are like slaves within the EU.
Spain was brought into the EU by the then-prime minister, Felipe González, who was born on the day of an eclipse—and a lunar one—at 12° Virgo (his natal Sun is at 11° Pisces, Moon at 13° Virgo, North Node also at 13° Virgo, South Node at 13° Pisces). On that January 1, 1986, both the secondary progressed IC/MC axis of Felipe González and the Solar Arc IC/MC axis were identical, running over 4° Gemini / 4° Sagittarius, which automatically activates 4° Virgo (the position of the transiting Moon on January 1, 1986) as well as 4° Pisces (the place of the upcoming lunar eclipse on August 28, 2026).
Let us now progress the chart of modern Spain for January 1, 1986. Incidentally, the chart of modern Spain takes as its date November 22, 1975, 12:45, Madrid, Ascendant 3° Aquarius, Moon 11° Cancer, IC on Algol at 25–26° Taurus, MC automatically opposite at 25° Scorpio, Sun at 29° Scorpio. Thus the secondary progressed Moon (the people) of Spain when it became an EU member was, believe it or not, at 4° Sagittarius. And so we obtain a Grand Mutable Cross over 4° Gemini, 4° Virgo, 4° Sagittarius, 4° Pisces, which will be activated on August 28, 2026 by the eclipse at 4° Pisces. If we add the fact that Morocco in its chart has Rx Mercury at 3–4° Gemini, then it is clear to you why the young men (Mercury) have “activated” right now. When a planet is retrograde, it is quite certain that this or a similar action will be repeated again, because one cannot succeed here the first time…
Let us now also look at the EU chart. The EU has its nodal axis over 3/4° Sagittarius/Gemini, and this matter with Spain is for it a great lesson, an opportunity for things to be made conscious, for the mistake to be admitted, for it to let go of what cannot be its own, and to move on. More simply put, this is an opportunity for the EU to make an evolutionary leap and to change through this circumstance, to abandon some of its beliefs. Incidentally, the secondary (and Solar Arc directed) IC/MC axis of the EU also runs over 4° Sagittarius / 4° Gemini, which is just another sign along the way in this story.
Spain this year, 2026, in its Solar Arc directed chart (where everything moves 1 degree per year) has the Moon at 3–4° Virgo, which means that during 2027 it will have it at 4° Virgo, in the same place where the transiting Moon was on January 1, 1986 when the country became part of the EU.

Around 49,000 migrants crossed from Morocco into the Spanish North African exclave of Ceuta in the last 24 hours, according to a preliminary estimate by the Spanish Ministry of the Interior. Is this actually an “invasion” of Spain?
The horoscope of the King of Spain, Felipe VI, says a great deal about the current situation.
First, he was born just after the New Moon in Aquarius, on January 30, 1968, with the Sun at 9° Aquarius and the Moon at 19° Aquarius. It is good that the Moon (the people) is not combust by the Sun, but his Sun is weak, so this monarch actually does not have sufficient capacity to impose himself as some kind of authority. Especially interesting is the coming eclipse of August 12, 2026, at 20° Leo, exactly opposite his Moon (the Spanish people, but also the territory of the country). As we know, the 21° Leo / 21° Aquarius axis is the axis of the fall and exaltation of Neptune, and Neptune is migrations, entry into another country across the sea or ocean, the picture of secret enemies, of invisible forces. At the same time, the secondary progressed Moon of King Felipe VI is at 8° Aries 49’, in conjunction with the secondary progressed Sun of King Felipe VI at 8° Aries 21’, and his natal Saturn (ruler of the MC — he as king, but also the essential significator for borders) is at 7° Aries 59’ (almost at 8° Aries 00’). As we can see, besides a weak Sun, the king also has a weak Saturn (borders) in Aries, in fall, but it is nevertheless placed in his 12th house (which is the house of joy for Saturn), so it is not all so bad. Just as his Sun, from detriment in Aquarius, goes into Aries, but still into the 12th, so as far as authority is concerned we can still claim that he realistically does not have the capacity to impose himself as monarch. Saturn from Aries, from fall, and from the 12th house (the house of its joy), goes to the place of his Mars at 16° Pisces; thus Saturn is practically going into Pisces, and there is the picture of migrants swimming across the ocean (Pisces). All in all, what is most important here is that Saturn will station direct from 7–8° Aries on December 10–11, 2026, so we can say that this story is not finished.
This eclipse of August 12, 2026, which activates the Moon of the King of Spain, will have two epilogues in 2027. The first occurs around March 4, 2027, when Mercury stations direct from 20° Aquarius (the degree opposite the eclipse) and from the Moon of the King of Spain. The second occurs around April 2, 2027, when Mars stations direct from the degree of the coming August eclipse, from 20° Leo. However, the Mercury shadow already begins around the king’s birthday in January 2027, while the Mars shadow begins around November 4, 2026.
In the Solar Return for 2027 the king has the Sun in the 6th, which is not a good sign, and the transiting North Node is then literally on his Moon (the people, the territory), at 20° Aquarius. At the beginning of August 2027, more precisely on August 2, we will have a solar eclipse at 9° Leo, exactly opposite the Sun of the King of Spain.
What I want to say is that the combination of the progressed Sun, the progressed Moon, and natal Saturn at 7–8° Aries — the degree from which Saturn will station direct on December 10–11, 2026 — is actually a great sign that July/August 2026 is precisely that turning point for the King of Spain, when he needs to show his authority and clearly show the borders, because this man has a personal problem with boundaries, which is reflected on the collective as well, for every ruler is only an extended arm of the collective unconscious (the people).
When on February 20, 2026 there was the great conjunction of Saturn and Neptune at 0° Aries in the sky, we stepped into a new world order in which borders (Saturn) will be clearly set, precisely in connection with migrations (Neptune). Because Saturn is in fall in Aries and has an indescribable need to show borders, to raise ramparts between states. The dispositor of that conjunction was Mars at 22° Aquarius, almost on the king’s Moon at 19–20° Aquarius, and opposite the coming eclipse of August 12, 2026 at 20–21° Leo. I repeat, that 21° Leo / 21° Aquarius axis is the axis of the fall and exaltation of Neptune. Neptune also contains the picture of all transoceanic conquests, and thus represents all the now-former British colonies. At 21° Leo I have mapped the United Kingdom, while opposite, at 21° Aquarius, France.
The king also has the lunar nodal axis over 21° Aries (the degree of the fall of Saturn) / 21° Libra (the degree of the exaltation of Saturn), which is also the axis of East and West Berlin between which stood the Berlin Wall. Precisely from 21° Aries the Saturn shadow begins during 2027, already at the beginning of May 2027, so that Saturn will station direct from the same degree for Catholic Christmas, December 24–25, 2027, and that from 21° Aries. This will be a very challenging time for the evolution of the soul of the King of Spain, and thereby also for the people of Spain.
One thing is certain: everything points to the need to work on personal boundaries (Saturn), to strengthen personal boundaries, so that this may be reflected on the country itself, which must raise a wall, a rampart, and show a red line. While from the angle of mythology Europe is linked to the island of Crete (Zeus seduced the girl Europa by transforming himself into a beautiful, gentle white bull; she began to caress him and decorate him with flowers), perhaps right now, through this event in Ceuta, we can shift the focus from Greece and that cliché “in debt like Greece” onto Spain, the country in which the bull as an animal is important (Spanish corridas). Because, after all, Europe is represented by the sign of Taurus.
It is also interesting that on July 30, 2026, early in the morning around 4:30, Ceuta (Spain), when the “migrant” invasion actually officially began, the Ascendant was at 28° Gemini, on the star Betelgeuse from Orion, while Mars was at 21° Gemini, in the 12th (the young men who came from behind, from ambush, from the dark). At 21° Gemini we have stars from Orion and further, but this is also the very degree of Mars in the horoscope of the state that carries the symbolism of Zeus (the United States), as well as the degree of the Sun of the American president (Zeus). Incidentally, in the Solar Return for 2026, for this current year, the King of Spain has the Ascendant at 21° Gemini.
Only a few days ago Spain celebrated winning gold at the football World Cup — interesting, isn’t it…

And finally, it is necessary to look back at the period 19 years ago, to August 28, 2007, when there was the same eclipse, at 4° Pisces 46’ (and now it will be at 4° Pisces 55’). What was happening in Spain then?
That was the time when Spain was entering the worst economic crisis in the country’s modern history; real-estate prices had risen sharply, and construction sites had stopped working. It was also a time of conflict with the Basque organization ETA. While this year we celebrated Spain as world football champions, in 2007, on the very day of the eclipse, August 28, Sevilla footballer Antonio Puerta suffered a heart attack on the pitch. The nation was struck by pain and people went out into the streets. In those days Spain also holds the famous La Tomatina festival, when people throw tomatoes at each other and the streets turn red. Isn’t it interesting that that lunar eclipse was then called a red, bloody Full Moon?!
However, there was another identical eclipse, at 4° Pisces 12’, and that was on August 27, 1988, that is, only two years after Spain entered the EU. And we must deal with that here as well. What was happening in Spain then?
The first major crisis of confidence and workers’ revolt. That very autumn in Spain the “honeymoon” with the EU began to crack. Felipe González, following Brussels’ economic directives, began introducing harsh labor-market reforms that favored capital and destroyed the working class. This directly led to the GENERAL STRIKE IN DECEMBER 1988 when the whole of Spain literally stopped.
1988 is also linked to the very beginning of the migrant story. Namely, in 1988 Spain had to sign the first rigorous agreements on control of the EU’s external borders. That is when the concept of Ceuta and Melilla as a “fortress” defending Europe was actually born, which 38 years later (19+19 years of the cycle) has brought us to the present day and the migrant invasion of July 30/31, 2026.
That eclipse of August 1988 also had Jupiter at 4° Gemini, which in fact only further “pumped up” the problems.
As we can see, the country that entered the EU with the transiting Moon in Virgo on January 1, 1986, by the nature of things the prime minister who brought the country into the EU also has Moon in Virgo, and even a lunar eclipse. Today’s prime minister, Sánchez, likewise has a Full Moon in Virgo at birth. These are simply proofs that by inertia one always chooses the similar, because like rejoices in like, and that everything is already written in advance. Only when we become conscious of this can we change the further course of destiny, because becoming conscious is actually that moment when we are aware that we constantly attract the same patterns, the same circumstances, but that now we want to interrupt that. And that is achieved by “throwing light” on that pattern, working on balancing the negative side of the archetype, and thus gradually, as time passes, we improve the archetype. The archetype will never disappear from our life, but its negative side can be mitigated.
The sign of Virgo is the sign of service; especially that Moon in Virgo is the picture of a working class that is wretched, poor; it is all a picture of a people who choose these prime ministers from socialist ranks rather than from others. Pisces opposite is the picture of the ocean, of that water that is crossed in search of a little land (Virgo is kicked, small islands).
Spain’s prime minister in 2007 was the leader of the Socialist Workers’ Party (PSOE), José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero. He will be remembered for decisions that deeply divided and polarized Spanish society. He introduced laws that allow faster divorce and drastically liberalized the abortion law. He withdrew Spanish soldiers from Iraq, which brought him popularity at home but at the same time a long series of years of cold relations with the United States (the government of George W. Bush). He is also remembered for denying the crisis: when the crisis began in the summer of 2007 he claimed that the Spanish banking system was the most solid in the world. When the real-estate bubble finally burst, Spain sank into a harsh recession, the unemployment rate jumped to 23%. But we will also remember him for the fact that during his term, in 2011, the Basque terrorist organization ETA declared a final and permanent cessation of all armed activity, thereby ending a half-century-long bloody conflict.
What is still important to say in all of this is that this Grand Mutable Cross is the cause of the changeable situation for Spain within the EU, because the mutable element Gemini / Virgo / Sagittarius / Pisces promises a certain dose of bipolarity, madness, chaos, and problems with borders, because Sagittarius loves to expand everything and to overdo it, Virgo and Pisces are naturally “crazy,” psychosomaticly unstable, while Gemini are in charge of those mythological Hermeses who go a little to Hades in the underworld and a little return to land. All in all, Spain within the EU is a very unstable country. The influence of the eclipse on the personal level lasts until the next one of the same type, that is, from the end of August 2026 to February 2027. However, at the level of states, the influence of this eclipse will last during the next 3 months and 10 days. Since this is an exceptionally deep lunar eclipse (the people will be eclipsed), where even 96.2% of the Moon will be covered, we can already be sure that dark days are coming for the Spanish people within the EU.
I must emphasize that at 4° Pisces there is also one of the four royal stars of ancient Persia, Fomalhaut, the Guardian of the South, the only spiritual one, often representing the picture of the Pope himself, the Vatican, but also the southernmost country in the world, Argentina. Isn’t it interesting that the recent World Cup final, held in the United States, was exactly between Spain and Argentina, and that Spain won?! Argentina was a Spanish colony until it won its independence in 1816. At the level of the peoples, these two countries love each other; there is a great love. They are connected by the same language, culture, music (tango), literature, and of course football. Argentines often call the Spanish La Madre Patria (Mother Homeland). But at the level of politics there are constant wars. A diplomatic war is currently underway (2024–2026) when Argentine president Javier Milei, during a visit to Madrid, publicly called the wife of Prime Minister Sánchez “corrupt.” In protest, Spain withdrew its ambassador from Buenos Aires.
I spoke to you about Europe from the angle of Greece (Zeus who took the body of a gentle white bull in order to seduce the girl Europa and then left her on Crete), but also from the angle of Spain (the corrida, the bullfight, and Europa is in Taurus actually archetypally), now I will mention to you the myth of the Pillars of Hercules and his conflict with the Titan Atlas from the angle of the space that covers Gibraltar. The myth of the Pillars of Hercules (the separation of Europe and Africa) Europe and Africa were joined by one huge mountain. Hercules smashed the great mountain barrier that joined the two continents; instead of jumping over it, Hercules uses his supernatural strength and splits the mountain in two. Water from the Atlantic Ocean rushed into the Mediterranean Sea, and thus the present Strait of Gibraltar was created.
Nearby, in North Africa, lived the Titan Atlas, who was condemned to carry the great celestial vault on his back forever. Hercules briefly takes that burden on his own back so that Atlas can bring him the apples of the Hesperides (which the dragon Ladon guards, because he is supposed to be eternally awake). It is interesting that this present EU was born on the mythological concept of the constellation Draco (the Dragon), about which I wrote in my diploma thesis in 2010. In other words, the EU needs to be eternally awake regarding the energy at its disposal, and energy is not only resources, but also the war conflicts it has become involved in as a proxy, through this story with Ukraine and Russia.
The expression “Non plus ultra” (“Nothing further”) was carved on the Pillars of Hercules as a warning to sailors that here the known world and order end, and the unknown oceanic chaos begins. Astrologically speaking, order would be that Virgo, and the complete world without borders and the world in chaos would be the lost Pisces, wouldn’t it?!
The fact that that space is now under attack by crisis and the “invasion” of migrants is the awakening of the myth. The Pillars of Hercules (the borders of Europe) are suffering enormous pressure, while the rest of the EU, through its politicians, is outwitting one another about who will take the “burden” of that crisis on their backs, just as Hercules and Atlas once did.
I mentioned that the solar eclipse (12th August 20260 at 21° Leo is actually the degree of the fall of Neptune, and the degree from which Great Britain vibrates (through my research I arrived at this conclusion 13 years ago in my master’s work; you also have a text on this topic on my blog). Therefore it will be interesting to follow what reaction the United Kingdom will have to all this, since Gibraltar officially belongs to this country and has the status of a British Overseas Territory, which fits perfectly with the degree of the fall of Neptune (across the sea), 21° Leo, where the eclipse will be on August 12, 2026. If we add to this that the secondary progressed Sun of modern Spain is at the opposite degree, at 21° Aquarius (around there the Moon of King Felipe VI), and that this is the degree from which France vibrates, then we get the puzzle. Without the French, the English would never have taken Gibraltar. France was the greatest obstacle to Spain entering the EU in 1986. François Mitterrand for years blocked and delayed Spain’s entry into the European Community. The reason was economic: the French feared cheap Spanish agriculture, wine and fish (exactly that wretched Moon in Virgo as I said) that would destroy French farmers. So it should not surprise us at all that even today, through this event with the “invasion of migrants,” some story from before is actually unfolding; only the time is different and the actors are new, but in fact everything is old. …
